Rescue mission. 

This amazing pendant was about to be scrapped - and we just could not let that happen - I mean 22ct, a fabulous intricate chain and the most amazing open work gold pendant. 

Priced at 22ct gold scrap - this is a steal. 

Now what does this pendant feature? Only the Fenghuang- a mythological bird, often called the Chinese phoenix in the West. It is traditionally the female equivalent of the Chinese dragon. This amazing bird holds deep symbolic meaning and represents peace, prosperity, high virtue and grace.

Wings spread and surrounded by florals the main of which appears to be a lotus flower. Again - symbolically this makes a lot of sense. Said to represent purity, resilience and moral integrity the combination of Fenghuang and Lotus flower are the ultimate in symbolism of the powerful but ethical and gracious female. 

And the chain - oh the chain! This has stopped me in my tracks several times in the last few days. Deeply buttery high carat and the most intricate and delicate design. The long links with the half twist catch the light and dance in the sun. This chain is EVERYTHING in a long high carat chain. 

The clasp has been secured closed with the pendant on - because it will fit over most people's heads. We have undone it to weigh them separately. We can re-close it with or without pendant on, or leave it undone - depending on preference.

Hallmarks - Chinese symbols for gold on claps and pendant, and an unknown Maker's Mark on the chain - pendant, clasp and chain all tested for 22kt gold. 

Condition - very light wear - clearly only worn for special occasions.

Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear.

Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Please see the pictures and description to ensure you are happy with it before you buy. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above. Also note - none of the other items or props in the photo come with the item and all measurements are approximate.

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Lay-by

Lay-by is available on all full price items (sale items can be bought on a split payment).

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

So, if you love this piece but can't afford it right now - please get in touch.  

To secure your item, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Items will not be removed from the website until this is paid.

Following this, you will need to make further monthly payments of 20% until the full balance is complete, a time frame of 5 months in total. 

Invoices will be issued at the start of each month and we ask they are paid before the start of the following month.

We issue all invoices through the website, and it accepts all cards, Shop Pal, Paypal and Afterpay as payment.

Valuations

Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.

Shipping

Australian based company shipping to Australia and New Zealand.

Parcels are shipped within 24 hours.

Australian shipping is express post and fully insured.

International items under $500 are shipped standard airmail and items over $500 express airmail.

All items are sent trackable, fully insured and requiring a signature on delivery.

Any items leaving Australia will have a signed customs declaration stating what is in the box.
