Started in both Ireland and Scotland in the Early Middle Ages (think 5th -9th Centuries). Started as a pagan symbol for the sun and either the compass points or the four natural elements (air, fire, earth and water), it was adopted by Christians and the cross became the more prominent feature over the circle.
Carved into stone and used in their jewellery Celtic crosses became a symbol for protection and to provide divine guidance from the heavens above.
We have found this fabulous hallmark on a number of vintage Australian treasures - but no such mark exists in our books. Lost to the sands of time, we realise we may never know who made this, but our other pieces have been quite strong in their 1940s styling - so that has led us closer.
Featuring a green glass central stone - we love the vibrance of the stone colour against the richness of the gold.
Use this as your connection to your Celtic past, a piece to guide you, or a piece to protect you.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

Valuations
Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.
