This fantastic vintage pendant came our way with a dull scratched amethyst- and we could could not help but think how amazing it would look with a fresh and vibrant centre stone. Well green tourmalines (especially round cuts) have that magic for us - they are like a palm tree of tropical greens - rich vibrant greens through lime greens  - and they are captivating to watch. 

Claw set inside this fabulous snowflake like gold pendant, it has extra sparkle from those 8 little single cut natural diamonds.

We love the size of this pendant - it is a great and striking size and the contrast of that rich green stone to the yellow claws and white glints. 

The tourmaline is natural and has some brown inclusions - please see macro photos - and be aware no-one is likely to be up close with a loupe while you are wearing it.

Width  11.9 x 14.5mm (side to side and bottom to top of jump ring) on a swinging v-bail - bail opening 3.3 x 2.5mm

6mm green tourmaline - known weight 0.7ct - natural green included tourmaline

8 x 1mm single cut diamonds - approx 0.04ct combined 

Hallmarks  worn "9ct" - likely Australian  

Condition - new centre stone - light wear to pendant - tourmaline has natural brown inclusions - please see photos. Halo has rhodium plating, some is beginning to wear thin.

Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear.

Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Please see the pictures and description to ensure you are happy with it before you buy. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above. Also note - none of the other items or props in the photo come with the item and all measurements are approximate.

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Lay-by

Lay-by is available on all full price items (sale items can be bought on a split payment).

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

So, if you love this piece but can't afford it right now - please get in touch.  

To secure your item, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Items will not be removed from the website until this is paid.

Following this, you will need to make further monthly payments of 20% until the full balance is complete, a time frame of 5 months in total. 

Invoices will be issued at the start of each month and we ask they are paid before the start of the following month.

We issue all invoices through the website, and it accepts all cards, Shop Pal, Paypal and Afterpay as payment.

Valuations

Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.

Shipping

Australian based company shipping to Australia and New Zealand.

Parcels are shipped within 24 hours.

Australian shipping is express post and fully insured.

International items under $500 are shipped standard airmail and items over $500 express airmail.

All items are sent trackable, fully insured and requiring a signature on delivery.

Any items leaving Australia will have a signed customs declaration stating what is in the box.

Any duties, taxes or import fees for international items are not the responsibility of Vintage Jewellery Hoarders.
