So the question has to be - How many antique necklaces can a girl own? (asking for a friend obviously ;) ) 

The second we see pieces like this our hearts start to race - the multi-claw settings, the colour of the gold, the fabulous faceting of the stones, the hand carved settings - all make us swoon. 

This divine piece has the most magical stones - the top three in particular - dance in their lavenders and pale blues - while the bigger stone has some deeper hues. 

Set against the yellow gold, the decorative hand carved settings are ornate and shield like. The frames of gold are ornate and glisten magically. We also love the colour combination of the pale blue spinels against the rich gold. 

The delicate cable chain is a slightly rosier hue - but the frames are definitely more yellow gold - but old gold.

Length 42cm or 16.5 inches with a further drop of 4.5cm or just under 2 inches 

Weight 9.56g

Dimensions - decorative area - 66mm  x 27.5mm (when held long) largest pendant 25 x 30 x 6mm proud hanging from a rosier gold delicate cable chain. 

Testing suggests stones to be synthetic spinel - which were very fashionable in the 1920s-1930s in place of aquamarine 

Hallmarks  "9ct" - likely Australian made 

Condition - one set of claws on the bottom of one rectangular scissor cut spinel is missing - see photos. Light wear (given age) to joins and stones. 

Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear.

Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Please see the pictures and description to ensure you are happy with it before you buy. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above. Also note - none of the other items or props in the photo come with the item and all measurements are approximate.

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Lay-by

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

So, if you love this piece but can't afford it right now - please get in touch.  

To secure your item, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Items will not be removed from the website until this is paid.

Following this, you will need to make further monthly payments of 20% until the full balance is complete, a time frame of 5 months in total. 

Invoices will be issued at the start of each month and we ask they are paid before the start of the following month.

We issue all invoices through the website, and it accepts all cards, Shop Pal, Paypal and Afterpay as payment.

Valuations

Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.

Shipping

Australian based company shipping to Australia and New Zealand.

Parcels are shipped within 24 hours.

Australian shipping is express post and fully insured.

International items under $500 are shipped standard airmail and items over $500 express airmail.

All items are sent trackable, fully insured and requiring a signature on delivery.

Any items leaving Australia will have a signed customs declaration stating what is in the box.
