The jewellery we love the most comes from the Eras around the 1930s. This time period saw the most amazing array of designs and stone cutting was in massive change. Add in the Art Deco influence and the use of platinum as a mixed metal and the designs were just amazing. This unbelievable ring hails from somewhere in this time period. The ring is made from 18ct White Gold and Platinum which was really popular at the start of the 20th Century, add to this the use of 6 old cut diamonds in the amazing hand-carved milgrain shoulders with very Art Deco styling and this ring just screams of this amazing period of time and all these influences.
This ring came to us with a green glass centre stone - vibrant in its bottle green hue - but by no means a fitting choice for a ring of such amazing history and workmanship. So we were thrilled when we found this amazing pale peach and pink natural tourmaline that is the perfect size for this hand carved basket. We also adore the delicate colour combination of the delicate blush of the stone and the frosty white sparkle of the metals and diamonds.
The shoulders really highlight the craftsmanship of this ring and we love the ribbon end tops that meet the buckle and then the single diamond set diamond shape which marks the ends of the shoulders and the start of the knife edge band. The hand mil-grain finish offers such a lovely reflection for the light and it is amazing that these tiny details are still so clear after so long.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.
Lay-by
Lay-by is available on all full price items (sale items can be bought on a split payment).
