Such a sunny combination - we love the depth of this sky blue stone against the warmth of the gold. Blue topaz was my first love as a child - the first gemstone I felt this deep affinity for. It looked like the sky and sea and blue has always sung to my heart. This fabulous 14 x 10mm blue topaz is vibrant and the sparkles and pillars of colour (particularly around the edges) are really glorious and vibrant. This stone is a slightly shallower cut - giving that centre a more muted colour, and the contrast of that against the pillars or vibrant sky blue around it are awesome.

Double yellow 9ct claws are such a fabulous way to hold stones of this size - the double claw giving more strength and coverage on those corners - and we are such a fan of this styling. The yellow gold frame is strong and angular - like the stone - we love the cut out triangular shoulders, the rectangular cutouts in the basket and the double lines on the end of the shoulders to highlight the double claws.

FAQ

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Lay-by

Lay-by is available on all full price items (sale items can be bought on a split payment).

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

Valuations

Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist.
