Gems with provenance - and a complete story.
These East African Gems have been a passion project for the last couple of years. Sourced through an Australian Gem Dealer who now lives at the foothill of Mount Kilimanjaro and travels directly to the mines - pays them fairly, teaches the women to sort, value and classify gems - all to ensure a thriving ongoing market. Cut in Australia by a family run company, these gems are unheated, untreated and have each been cut to maximise their own beauty.
Parti sapphires are one of our favourite stones for a couple of excellent reasons - they are only found three places in the world, they are fabulously unique and they have not been able to find a way to make them synthetically. Found only in Australia, Kenya and Montana this particular sapphire can be traced to a tiny town of 5500 people in Isiolo County Kenya, Garba Tula. In the tiny pocket of the world the most amazing multicolour sapphires come out the ground - and we cannot get enough of their colouring. This nearly 2ct round cut beauty is the most amazing teal, royal and navy blue stone. Watch the edges are you turn it and light teals jump, and catch the sun right and the vivid blues dive deep within the stone. Get lost in this stone in the dark teals - like watching the sky on a moonlit night - those dark inky teals and navy blues colliding.
Set in a 6 claw white gold setting and on a 14ct rose gold arris edged ring we absolutely love the contrast of the colours and the contrast of the angular profile of the arris edge's linear look against the round of the stone. The rose gold is also phenomenal against the blue with the pinks of the metal against the depths of the blue.
This ring comes with an independent valuation for $7500 from 2025

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Lay-by
As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

Valuations
Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.
