Parti sapphires are magical. All the same, but no two alike. Parti sapphires are only native to three places: Australia, parts of Africa (still being discovered so keeping it vague) and Montana USA. What makes them so special is the fact that yellow and blue sapphires grow together and when these stones are cut an array of colours appears - from the deep blues, through so many shades of green, to yellow. And these partis are Australian. And we feel so fortunate to have such magical stones right on our doorstep (metaphorically speaking - the drive to the gemfields earlier this year was close to 10 hours)
These stones are all in the teal range - but that does not mean they are the same. That is the magic of the parti sapphire. The centre stone has a brighter turquoise hue to it, and the side stones when viewed from the side have some very clear green and yellow streaks. The inky darkness in the shadows comes alive in the sun and we love both colours paired with the yellow gold - they are rich and sumptuous as a pairing.
Claw set in a vintage 9ct gold ring, these 5 stones are the same size - not graduated - and we love the effect. We love that the claws are top and bottom - not only for the look, but the protection of the stones. From the side the profile of the baskets is angular and we love the curve of the band and the repeating pattern of the baskets. The band is a nice sturdy 9ct band - with all the focus on those stones that run across the whole top of the finger.
This ring comes with an independent valuation for $9280 from 2025

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Valuations

However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.
