When we found this ring it had a zircon in it - a blue zircon - but its nearly 60 years meant that 9as zircons do) there was facet wear to the face of the stone. This stone will now get re-cut and into another ring - and into this amazing 6 pairs of double claws comes a delicate pink Australian zircon out of the collection Kirsty just acquired. Hand fossicked and hand cut by the same family these are the epitome of ethical and sustainable stones.
This fabulous stone is the most delicate shade of pastel pink, and it glistens as only zircons do - with magical fire. These amazing stones with their double refraction and incredible lustre make them utterly captivating. Held in all those claws double white gold claws and on the strong white gold shoulders this is a pink and white dream. The band is yellow gold (starting at the 9 and 3 positions) and those glints of the warm gold offer such a lovely contrast to the white gold and bring out that slightly rosey hue to the zircon.

Condition - some flea bites to top facets - zircons are naturally soft stones and further facet wear is to be expected. Light wear to metal - claws are still good.
Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected every six months by a jeweller to check for wear. Zircons are only a 7 on the Mohs scale - so zircons will over their lifetime get facet wear - it is par for the course.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
