This stone is so vibrant in the sunshine - it is captivating. It is like a fabulous green tree snake sunning itself - the green and yellow facets dance like scales. We are such suckers for these green and yellow parti stones - and the way that they move and do not look alike from any two angles. There are definitely greener and yellow quadrants in this magnificent native sapphire and we find ourselves getting lost in the kaleidoscope of colours.
This stone came to us from the most fabulous collection from an Old Queensland family. Sold to us in a set of 40 stones - we were amazed by the devotion the family had had over generations to the gem fields of Australia. Choosing to not keep them all, we were thrilled to be able to acquire these stones and find amazing pre-loved gold homes for each. All hand fossicked, hand cut, untreated - these are the ultimate in slow ethical fashion.
Set in a high 6 claw setting we love the almost champagne glass profile of the ring. The 6 claw setting is a fabulous secure setting for this stone and the rich 14ct gold is such a great colour against the bright yellow in the stone.
This ring comes with an independent valuation for $4000 AU from 2026

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Valuations
Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.
