A trilogy of zircons - each with a tale to tell. The pinky caramel centre zircon comes from a collection of stones that two gentlemen built up over 30 years. Travelling the country, fossicking and cutting these amazing stones remain a legacy of what the Australian bush and some grit & determination can produce. Most will remain as a collection, but a few will be lucky enough to get set - like this beauty.
The side stones - are natural old cut white zircons - look at those rustic facets and open culets - and these came with the ring. The original centre stone was a sapphire (dark and included) and we are so thrilled that we could replace it with a third zircon of the most marvellous sparkle and those molten pinky caramel hues. Zircons are some of the sparkliest natural stones in the world - and some of the oldest- particularly the Australian ones - and we love the knowledge that these stones have been around for literally billions of years.
Claw set in white gold, and on the chunkiest of yellow gold bands we love the colour combination and what the richness of that band does to the colour of that stone.
This ring came to us with an independent valuation for $1950 when it had an included centre sapphire stone - which will be provided with the purchase as part of its history.
Particulars:
Size N1/2 or just under 7 (sizeable)
Weight 3.72g
Width 6.2 x 12.7mm
Stones - natural zircons - 6.2mm round 1.31ct and 2 x3mm old cut white zircons
Hallmarks "375"
Condition - new centre stone with some facet scratches, old cut side stones have facet wear you would expect with age, light wear to metal
Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, carrying things). Jewellery should be checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear. Zircons are only a 7 on the Mohs scale - so zircons will over their lifetime get facet wear - and particularly around the girdle here - it is par for the course.
Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Please see the pictures and description to ensure you are happy with it before you buy. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above. Also note - none of the other items or props in the photo come with the item and all measurements are approximate.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Valuations
Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist.
