Now when it comes to partis we are girls who are suckers to see the colours move and dance. And this stone does not disappoint, in fact it relishes the chance to draw your eye. Vibrant bright blues and yellows dance in this amazing native sapphire and we love how when the ring moves the yellows dance into green and then the brightest of blues. Even in the shade this ring has fabulous quadrants of colour and at no point becomes a single colour stone. 

This stone came to us from the most fabulous collection from an Old Queensland family. Sold to us in a set of 40 stones - we were amazed by the devotion the family had had over generations to the gem fields of Australia. Choosing to not keep them all, we were thrilled to be able to acquire these stones and find amazing pre-loved gold homes for each. All hand fossicked, hand cut, untreated - these are the ultimate in slow ethical fashion. 

To add to the vibrancy of this stone we knew it had to be a white gold setting. 6 strong claws for safety of that all important stone, and then that arris edge band - that you can really feel between your fingers - and with a stone like this we love that chunky reminder to the sensation of feel that it is still safely on the hand.

Stone Round Cut Sapphire - 6.19 x 6.18 x 4.34mm - estimated to 1.19ct on the report - colour - parti colour, clarity - LI1, no heating or treatments. 

Hallmarks  "N20 N1/2" Double Lobe "585" "R"

Condition - new stone - light previous wear to setting and metal surfaces. Recently rhodium plated. 

Care - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming/spa, carrying things). Jewellery should be inspected checked every six months by a jeweller to check for wear.

Please be aware that this item is pre-loved and therefore is NOT new. Please see the pictures and description to ensure you are happy with it before you buy. Stones may have tiny marks, chips or flea bites, metal will have marks of wear like surface scratches; but any bigger flaws will be clearly highlighted above. Also note - none of the other items or props in the photo come with the item and all measurements are approximate.

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.

Lay-by

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

So, if you love this piece but can't afford it right now - please get in touch.  

To secure your item, we require a 20% non-refundable deposit. Items will not be removed from the website until this is paid.

Following this, you will need to make further monthly payments of 20% until the full balance is complete, a time frame of 5 months in total. 

Invoices will be issued at the start of each month and we ask they are paid before the start of the following month.

We issue all invoices through the website, and it accepts all cards, Shop Pal, Paypal and Afterpay as payment.

Valuations

Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. We do not get valuations done on all pieces as we like to keep things as affordable as possible. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.

Shipping

We ship for free to the Australia and New Zealand.

Australian shipping is express post and fully insured.

International items under $500 are shipped standard airmail and items over $500 express airmail.

All items are sent trackable, fully insured and requiring a signature on delivery.

Any items leaving Australia will have a signed customs declaration stating what is in the box.

Any duties, taxes or import fees for international items are not the responsibility of Vintage Jewellery Hoarders.
