This natural sapphire is spectacular in motion - it really needs seen - the way the colours mix and meld is truly magical - videos are on instagram and well worth a watch. From the most fabulous royal blue that like a peacock plume melds into the most glorious deep teals. These colours arise because yellow and blue sapphires grow together in certain special locations globally and those teals are some of the most prized colours. This stone also has a lovely little inclusion (think birthmark for a stone) and it sings of its natural origins - something we adore. In the bright sunlight this silky inclusion has particles that catch the light and they glisten in a gentle white curtain across the stone, in the gentle lights it is much more muted.
The oval sapphire is a great focal point in this otherwise delicate ring. The band is made up of alternating marquise and circle shapes - but the first two circles each feature a claw set diamond (which has been rhodium plated for a white gold appearance). The back of the band is plain though - ideal for sizing.
The design of this ring means it could be stacked with a low profile band.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.
Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.
