Old Rosey Gold Fancy Link Watch Chain with sliding T-bar and Spinning Fob, 9ct Old Rosey Gold, 19.63g
Fancy link watch chains in old rosey gold covered in hallmarks are the holy grail of the watch chain hunt for us. This amazing piece was made by B.H. Britton and Sons who marketed themselves as makers of "gold guard and fancy chains" - and we would agree! Having begun in 1855 they were a well established and respected Birmingham Business. This amazing chain bears the original clasps, and t-bar - all bearing the "B&S" maker's mark. Unfortunately there is no date stamp - but the rose gold colour, and the fact that watch chains had significantly dropped in popularity by the 1940s (thanks to the invention of the wrist watch) we can assume this beauty was likely made in the 1920s (ish). Every single link is hallmarked - look through the photos and you will see that not only are the long links marked, but the love links are too (although theirs are wearing more rapidly due to their location). The t-bar is a spinning t-bar and better than that - the whole t-bar and fob section slides - so if you want to wear it with an extender that can be seen it is a simple slide of the chain. The spinning fob is an Australian addition (and a slightly different colour) - bearing the "9ct" hallmark on the base of the carnelian and blood stone spinner. The fob itself is hollow, both the horseshoe and spinning section - but they are in lovely condition.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
