Antique Circa 1915 Old European Cut Solitaire, 18ct White and Yellow Gold, size M1/2 or 6.5

This dreamy ring is over 100 years old, and she is rich in that amazing craftsmanship and history that we all adore. The central stone is a 0.45ct Old European Cut of I/J colour and SI1-SI2 clarity - and she is just magnificent - the valuer even comments on the "very good" polish of the stone. The high facets, the beautiful hand carved unqiue pattern, and that open culet - all in a lovely white stone - which for the time is wonderful. Held in double claws in a raised white gold frame - this ring has ensured the safety of that stone for the last 109 years. There is some wear (as you would expect for the age, but we have had it checked by jewellers and the valuer - and they are all happy). The shoulders are also white gold and feature three milgrain transitional cut diamonds. The gallery is then that rich buttery 18ct yellow gold, all hand carved and hand pierced. Those fabulous curved lines like love hearts, that let the light in underneath and allow you to marvel at the craftsmanship of the jewellers of the time. 

This would make the most outstanding engagement ring (although we would suggest it never be worn next to another ring - you would hate to wear away that amazing gallery - also - she does not need company - she is amazing alone!).
