Well - this is our first ever piece of "Belle Epoque" jewellery and it is as mesmerising as we had imagined it would be. Dated to the end of the Belle Epoque time (which ran from 1880-1914) this amazing ring features a North South Toi et Moi set of diamonds and two fabulous ribbons of platinum set early transitional diamonds.

This time period was a time of great change for diamonds - as technology improved there was a move away from the old cuts (Mine and European) and towards to the modern brilliant. In the interim there was about 30 -50 years where as they mastered the skills the stones they became taller and these stunners are called transitional diamonds. And this amazing ring - has them.

With sweeping asymmetric ribbons of platinum set diamonds this ring is whimsical and unique and you will struggle to find her likeness anywhere. A true collectable.

This ring comes with an independent valuation for $7970AU from 2026

FAQ

Sizing

What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.

We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

Current prices are: $40 for sizing down, $40 for rhodium plating (all white gold rings), and sizing up starts at $50 - and depends on the carat of gold, width of band and number of sizes. These are subject to change at any time and remain linked to the volatile changes in precious metals.

Time frames - sizing is usually complete within 3 weeks.
