3.86g 9ct Gold Oriana Cruise Ship Charm from 1976, 9ct Yellow Gold.
3.86g 9ct Gold Oriana Cruise Ship Charm from 1976, 9ct Yellow Gold.
In 1976 the Oriana Cruise Ship spent time sailing to the Caribbean, Europe, and South Pacific as part of the P&O cruise liners. The Captain of the Oriana gave this charm to a lovely old lady who was aboard in the Caribbean and brought it back to Australia. When she died her children inherited it and none of them wanted it - and so we swooped in - because how can it not be treasured - look at her. There are life boats and swimming pools and all the windows engraved on it. The detail is amazing - and the condition shows it has been treasured.
Given that liner had a huge life - first in the UK, then in the Caribbean, then ferrying the 10 Pound Poms to Australia and then in Japan, the story of this ship will be meaningful to lots of you out there.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
