1980s 4ct Australian Parti Sapphire Retro Ring, 9ct Yellow Gold, size X or 11.5 (easily sizeable) with valuation
1980s 4ct Australian Parti Sapphire Retro Ring, 9ct Yellow Gold, size X or 11.5 (easily sizeable) with valuation
Almost impossible to find now, in the 1980s Australian parti sapphires of this size were much easier to find, and they were nothing like as valuable as they are now ( parti sapphires have doubled in value in the last five years or so alone). This amazing stone has a spread that the face suggests a 6ct stone - however, this stone is wonderfully shallow, so this has two amazing benefits. The stone is filled with light and the blue hues dance up and down the elongated oval as the hand moves. And value for money - this stone looks about 6ct but is actually 4.01ct. The stone is magnificent - the blues that dance up and down range from navy, through bright blue, to a pale greeny teal blue. Held in a strong four claw 9ct yellow gold setting, this ring is all about that stone. The swirling ribbon decoration is a retro style that is so recognisable and the yellow of the gold is glorious against the sapphire. The flat shank is wide and comfortable - and although she is big just now, she is easily sizeable.
This ring comes with an independent valuation for $10,900 AU

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
