The most phenomenal of Australian Parti Sapphires. No notes. Genuinely, this stone could not be better. This parti has the most amazing colour play, the blue, teal and yellow all with clear channels of their own, and across one corner some fabulous blue stripes, just to remind you how individual and unique these stones are. This stone is mesmerising - in the shade there are gentle colours of navy, teal and shadowed yellow, take her into the sunshine - and she transforms - like a peacock opening its tail - the colours electrify and dance in the sunshine. The clarity is also phenomenal -and noted as Eye Clean in both the stone report and the valuation.
Found in only three places on earth (Australia, Kenya and Montana) parti sapphires are the most phenomenal piece of nature. Blue and yellow sapphires that grow together and in that combining the colours play in everything from navy, through royal, teals, turquoises and into the yellow. Stones are getting harder and harder to find, and this is a true Australian treasure.
This ring has been a labour of love - getting to us with an almost frosted top it had been so worn and loved. The stone was gently removed, re-polished and then re-set (with 4 new chunky claws for good measure).
This ring was likely made in the 1970s - before the hallmark change in 1973. The basket is high and structural and the platinum is such a great colour of white metal - especially against that stone and the buttery 18ct yellow gold.
The 18ct Yellow Gold band is magnificent in its simplicity. The overlapping of the wider piece of gold offers lovely asymmetric details to the very symmetrical setting, and the end flap is a fabulous size to echo the setting of the sapphire.
This ring comes with an independent valuation for $10,300 AU and a gemstone certificate valuing the stone alone for $ 3,483.65

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.

As well as Afterpay and Paypal Pay-in-4 which are available at checkout, we also do traditional lay-by.

Valuations
Some of our items come with valuations we either got with the piece, or that we have had done by an independent gemologist. However, we use a number of instruments to help us determine stones and list these details in the description of each piece.
