This ring is likely a little later in the decade - and how do we guess that? The diamonds are brilliant cut not transitional, and the white metal is palladium not platinum. Platinum was the metal of choice - but as the war ramped up platinum was required for the war efforts and so palladium was used instead. The most palladium pieces we find usually date to the 1940s for this precise reason. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThese four diamonds are grain set inside raised quadrillo settings - these four independent baskets all use to have milgrain, but the sands of time have worn some of these down. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe white of the palladium is such a fabulous sparkle next to the diamonds (and never needs re-plating) and contrasted beautifully by the buttery 18ct gold baskets and knife edge shoulders.
