The face did bear initials - but they were so worn we just gently had the face brushed - it is not perfect or pristine - and this is what we chose - to try to match the 100 years plus of history that this ring already holds. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eJust look at those shoulders - deep hand engraved channels, swirls and florals - all filled with a fabulous deep patina that give the design depth and really sing to the age of this ring. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThe shape of that shield face is just magnificent and the band is chunky - this is literally everything we look for in a great antique signet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eParticulars: \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eSize Q or 8 - fits more like O1\/2 - P or 7.5 based on width (sizeable) - fits my O and O1\/2 fingers super comfortably \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWeight \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e4.29g\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eWidth - face - 13.5 x 12.5 x 1mm on wide shoudlers tapering to 3.9 x 1.25mm \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHallmarks  - fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1918 9ct Gold \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eCondition - fabulous patina in the shoulders and hallmarks - this is a ring with such character.  Face bears no hallmarks - but has a couple of little marks. The flowers at the edges of the shoulders are more worn on one side than the other. Chunky and delicious - ready for a new century of love.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eCare - As a general rule - jewellery should not be worn for strenuous tasks that may put pressure, chemicals and weight on them (think cleaning, gym, swimming\/spa, carrying things).
