If Kirsty can shift the kilos of weight she gained since having kids to fit into this ring, she will be drawing it into the hoard as a pinky ring. In the meantime - while it still does not fit (and because it is not sizeable) it is available - but don't say you weren't warned.

Snake rings rose to popularity in Victorian times, but the ouroboros (snake eating its own tail) had been popular since Ancient Greece. So why did the trend explode in Victorian times? Well, because Prince Albert gave Victoria a snake engagement ring. The symbolism of these rings is the idea of the never ending circle of the snake eating its own tail - and that symbolised the everlasting love of the couple. Developing from this came the two snake ring with the symbolism of the two heads being two opposing forces - much like a Yin Yang - which this ring has a real sense of due to the snake heads being blank. The symmetry and opposing forces feel more contained and focused in this design. And then we have the detail of both tails - down both shoulders - and both parts of the ring hallmarked - two connected forces joined forever.

Particulars:

Size I1/2 or 4.5 (NOT sizeable - pattern and hallmarks will be affected)

Weight 3.22g

Width 10.45 x 3.7mm proud tapering to 4.6 x 0.8mm

Hallmarks - fully hallmarked for 9ct gold Birmingham 1907 and the Maker's mark KBSP

Condition - this is an antique and handmade - you can see the solder joins between the ring, and all connecting points of the snakes.
