This fabulous band was made in the assay year of Aug 1884- July 1885. Birmingham did not standardise to the calendar year until 1975 so all older rings are associated with two years. So what was happening 140 years ago? Well local anaesthetic was just being discovered, Victoria was on the throne (and 23 years into mourning the death of Albert). Photographic film was also invented in that year - and just look how far that has progressed!
This rosey band is a lovely half rounded band in that delicious old rosey gold. It bears a really lovely angular stylised pattern - that over time and with wear has softened.

FAQ
Sizing
What do we mean when we say a ring is "sizeable"? Well, most standard rings can be made bigger or smaller by up to three letter sizes. If we say the item is "moderately sizeable", this usually means about 1 size, and if we say it is "not sizeable" or that "sizing is not recommended" it will be due to the construction - it could be age related, pattern related, have enamel etc.
We can happily help with sizing of rings, so please do get it touch if we can give you a quote.
