It is a standard practise and it just elevates the colour - and because it is so standard for the gems - it does not decrease the value. So our hunt has purely been to find tanzanite of other colours. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eTanzanite is almost mined out. It comes from very small deposits in Tanzania (and over the border into Kenya) an area approx 10 x 10km. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eThis fabulous stone is the most glorious mix of blues and purples and it dances between the two magnificently. Claw set in white gold we love the crispness of the white gold against the lavender, hyacinth, periwinkles and iris hues.
