This ring was crying out for a glow up - that wide domed band (from when gold was cheaper), fabulous natural diamond side stones (of a good size) and all with claws in lovely condition. The central stone had been a synthetic emerald - but just look at it now. The most magnificent 0.8ct natural blue sapphire that is the colour of the ocean on a sunny day, the colour of a male peacock's chest - just glistening in the sunshine. This royal blue in the sunshine (with amazing teal top and bottom) is a more muted navy in the shade - with a royal blue sparkle that dances up and down - and it is truly a sapphire that draws the eye. Set against the yellow gold we love the contrast of the rich cold blue and the warmth of the gold. Claws all in good condition, light surface wear to the metal.
