The strong angular shape of the setting perfectly highlights the shape of the stone and they sing a beautiful ice cold harmony with each other. The stone is a lovely emerald cut aquamarine (priced as synthetic - but not had it confirmed). The emerald corners are hidden by the very angular newly rhodium plated white gold. We love the raised box look and it is great from every angle. And this natural aqua has the most awesome depth of colour - the pristine ocean in its turquoise blues are calling. Literally named after the latin for \"water of the sea\" this stone is a very good example as to why. It is a natural stone and this one has some inclusions and is shallow cut - what does that mean?  The inclusions are the little birthmarks - this has some linear ones - that are clearer off the hand than on. In terms of being a shallow stone there is a plus and a minus to this - the plus is that this stone looks a lot bigger than the 4.3ct its weighed (and priced) at. Negatively you do get what is called the window - so in the middle of the stone you see through to the finger - like you would through the ocean to the sea floor.
